The CCC held the 2026 General Assembly with the distinguished presence of Governor JB Pritzker

On March 30, the Chicago Consular Corps held its annual General Assembly with the distinguished presence of Governor JB Pritzker, together with Kristin Richards, Director of the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO); Christy George, President and CEO of the Illinois Economic Development Corporation (EDC); and Phil Clement, President and CEO of World Business Chicago.

The gathering provided a valuable opportunity to reaffirm the close partnership between the consular community and the State of Illinois in advancing economic development, international cooperation, and mutual understanding. Their participation underscored the importance of sustained dialogue and collaboration in fostering a dynamic and globally connected region.

During the Assembly, new members of the Executive Committee were also announced: Charlotte Montel, Consul General of France, as First Vice Dean, and Rosario Ovando, Consul General of Guatemala, as Treasurer. We warmly congratulate them on their appointments and look forward to their leadership and continued service with the Chicago Consular Corps.
